Privacy on this website
This notice covers boarddesk.co — the public website. What the BoardDesk application does with a board’s papers is a separate matter, set out in the product privacy notice.
What this website collects
Two things, and only if you choose them. If you fill in the contact form we keep the institution, the role, the work email and the option you picked, so that we can reply. If you accept measurement, one anonymous cookie records which pages are read.
We do not advertise, we do not sell anything about your visit, and there are no third-party trackers, pixels or social widgets on this site.
The measurement cookie
Nothing non-essential is set until you press Accept. If you press Decline, or ignore the banner entirely, no measurement runs at all. You can change your mind by clearing this site’s storage in your browser, and the banner will ask again.
Contact requests
A contact request is stored in our database in a write-only table — the website can add to it and cannot read it back. We keep a salted, truncated digest of your IP address to stop the form being flooded; it is not the address itself and is not used to identify you.
We keep contact requests for as long as the conversation is live and for two years afterwards, then delete them. Ask us and we will delete yours sooner.
Where it is held
Contact requests are held in a managed database in a European region — Frankfurt — and this website is served from Vercel’s network. Eagle Tech Solutions in Mogadishu is the controller and the only party that reads contact requests. We confirm the exact hosting arrangement in writing on request.
Asking us about your information
Write to us through the form on the home page and say what you would like — a copy, a correction, or deletion.
